Abstract

Mental exercises have a great impact on the level of players, as they are important and influential in the sports field, because mental exercises have an effective and influential role in influencing the required performance, especially in critical moments of competition, so they work to raise and improve the level of sports performance and control and control psychological emotions , It is of benefit at the level of players’ achievement during competitions in all individual games, including fencing, since this sport is an offensive and defensive game at the same time, so it requires a great effort because of its fast and active movements, high compatibility and concentration, and the offensive and defensive movements are among the most important movements through which the Resolve the competitive situation, which consists of many different movements that improve the mind, the ability to form new situations, and the rapid change that occurs in mental processes. The experimental method was used for one experimental group, as the research community reached (4) players, while the research sample amounted to (4) players from the Etisalat Sports Club with fencing weapons, and psychological compatibility is measured through a scale prepared for this purpose, as the researcher prepared a group of Mental exercises and their application in the first part of the main part amounted to (21) training units. A number of conclusions were reached, including: The mental exercises program prepared by the researchers proved its positive effect on the psychological compatibility of the fencing players of the experimental group, and in the fact that the mental exercises work to raise and improve the psychological aspect in terms of the players' ability to adapt and adapt to different situations. As for the recommendations: Paying attention to the psychological aspect compared to the skillful aspect, conducting educational courses for trainers to highlight the role of mental and psychological training and their importance for athletes through specialists in this field.
