DRYING OF RAW COTTON IN VERTICAL VORTEX DRYERS

Abstract

The article is devoted to the process of drying raw cotton in vertically cylindrical vortex installations. Vortex vortex dryers are devices with swirling hot air molasses. The advantages of a swirling hot air flow over a direct flow one are as follows: energy efficiency, increased holding capacity of the material in the apparatus, high relative speeds, an increase in the operating speed range, an expansion of the effective volume, which contribute to the stabilization of hydrodynamics and the intensity of mass transfer.
