Abstract

Inability to meet the learners’ necessities and demands in learning will always be the aired concerns of the physical education and sports advisers employed in the Department of Education. The main purpose of this qualitative study was to explore the experiences of Physical Education teachers as to their challenges and coping mechanisms in sports coaching in times of COVID – 19 Pandemic. Findings expressed that PE educators should be provided with the appropriate tools that will paved the way to develop coaching styles and strategies which they need to cope with the learners to be more patiently understanding and considerate. Anent to this, It is very necessary for this pandemic era for the continuous following up with those who are under the supervision of their coaches in physical education and sports event, regardless of the modality of the learners and even the teaching load modality of the physical educator.
